The “SPECIALIZED CHILDREN’S ONCOHEMATOLOGY HOSPITAL” -Sofia Ltd. (SCOH) is the biggest and most specialized Bulgarian center since 2001in the field of pediatric oncohematology. It inherits the tradition of the first established in 1972 unit in Bulgaria – the Department of children’s oncohematology, as a part of the Chair of Pediatrics in Medical University – Sofia. In 1990 this Department is moved to a bigger building and situated on the recent address, neighboring the “Queen Johanna” University Hospital. SCOH is a unique hospital in Bulgaria, covering the full diagnostic and chemotherapeutic range in children and adolescents (from 0 to the age of 18) affected by Cancer. As a separate Department of this Hospital, in 1997 was established and since then is functioning the first and to date the only in Bulgaria Center for Hemopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation. |
